2011 Tallmadge Rotary / Good Neighbors Food Drive

OUTSTANDING!

That is what The Tallmadge Rotary / Good Neighbors Food Drive was this past Saturday July 30th.

Thanks to the participation of local organizations including the Mosholder Realty, The Tallmadge Lions, First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, The Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce, The City of Tallmadge, Tallmadge City Schools, Tallmadge League of Women Voters, Tallmadge Leaders In Action, our participating local businesses and of course you..The Tallmadge Rotary, we raised over $4700 in contributions and enough food to fill the shelves at the Tallmadge Good Neighbors.

More checks from supporting local businesses were sent directly to the Good Neighbors so we are working to determine the final monetary total. With the Lions and Rotary donations of $1000 each we look to have reached the $10,000 goal for this year.

The goal of collecting 10,000 pounds of food was reached also. Truckloads of food were delivered to the hardworking shelf stockers at Good Neighbors throughout the day.

Thanks to all involved for the effort and time well spent on this worthwhile local service project, and we look forward to next year when our $10,000/10,000 goals will certainly be raised to meet the ever increasing needs of our local residents and community.
